We are delighted to invite you to a dynamic discussion on “Emerging trends in digitalisation in African tertiary education”, which will be chaired by Professor Adam Habib, Director of SOAS, as part of the series of events for Africa–Europe Week 2022.

The pandemic has accelerated the digital agenda in universities and colleges. Our topical event will explore nascent strategies that allow universities in both continents to make better use of open and digital education through collaboration, and to harness the full potential digitalisation offers as a driving force for innovation and societal development.

The event is co-organised by the European Commission, the African Union Commission and four higher education stakeholder organisations – the British Council, Campus France, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Nuffic in collaboration with partners in Africa and Europe.

The event will take place on 17 February 2022, 11am – 1pm (CET), 10am – 12pm (UK time)
